I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Thanks to Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Bright and Cheery Patio, Part One
as one of her features from last week's Happiness is Homemade Link Party!

 Thanks so much, Bev!!

Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

It has been the second rainiest May on record here in NEPA!!

Just over night from Friday into Saturday morning, we received almost 2 inches of rain!!

We will get a little break from the rain until Thursday with temps. actually getting into the 80's!!

My son Jim is coming tomorrow to help me get the air conditioners in the windows because of this....

I am not a Summer lover because I can not tolerate the Heat due to my auto immune disease...

The humidity causes swelling of my ankles, hands and eyelids, causing a lot of pain in my joints...

Being out in the Sun and heat actually makes me physically ill where I get nauseated, flushed, a headache and even feel like I may pass out....

It is not fun and I will most likely be in the house most of the summer, in the air conditioning.....

I feel so much better physically in the Fall and Winter.....

For the first half of Summer, I decorate the Kitchen in what I call a French Country Farmhouse theme using Roos, Hens and Bees......

Way back in the 80's when pink and blue geese were a big thing, I , not wanting to be like everyone else, decorated my Kitchen with apples and chickens and used red and yellow....

I kept the red and yellow color theme in the Kitchen all these years....

I will start the tour of my Early Summer Kitchen here on the side of the stove....

On the side of the cabinets....

I bought the clock at the now closed Country Folks and Gifts Shop.....

And the metal plate was at a church flea market 2 years ago...

The oven mitts and hot pads came from Dollar Tree many years ago....

On the side of the stove....

I filled the invert cheese grater with red and yellow flowers....

There is also some strawberries and 2 copper ladles tucked into the arrangement.....

I hung a Hens towel from Dollar Tree from the handle....

I usually replace the Kitchen Tree that I decorate from Late Summer with this vintage yellow milk can filled with a lighted branch and red and yellow roses.....

I did something a bit different this year, emptying it of that arrangement and moving it here to this corner....

Vintage aprons and a towel hang from the magnetic bar on the side of the stove....

This is an old Home Interiors picture that I covered with a place mat from Dollar Tree....

I bought this sign that I hung on the cabinet door, in Dollar General, a few years back.....

On the small counter area next to the stove....

A Roos/Hen cutting board that my husband Joe bought in Wegman's quite some time ago......

Where the Kitchen window used to be before I had my Dad make the enclosed Patio off the back of the house into the Den....

I still treat it as a window.....

On the left side......

Plaques I made using hots pads from Dollar Tree....

I hung a valance I made out of a tablecloth and added a bow made from 2 different types of checkered ribbons on the chandy I made using demitasse cups....

Birdhouses I made hang from the valance along with hen ornaments from the chandy....

  Along with mini measuring cups....

  On the sill......

The shutters were my late neighbor Elly's.....

A yellow vintage salt and pepper shaker set....

I bought the houses in Michael's and my late friend Anne Marie gifted me the Bee coaster set....

The right side......

On the right side of the cabinets....

 Over in the corner.....

I placed this Bee sign on top of the wire tea cup.....

I am going to stop here at my Beverage Bar as I will be sharing this area along with the top of the fridge and the counter bar on THURSDAY in my next post...

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY as I continue the tour of my Kitchen decorated for Early Summer in a Roos/Hen and Bee theme!!

I have had a lot of fun decorating the Kitchen in this theme and I am looking forward to also sharing a few changes I made this year concerning the Hutch and deciding to leave my Kitchen Tree up year round!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  2. Summer is my season. Not so much when it's TOO humid, but most of the time, perfect! But I do like the changes. We've had a lovely couple of days but we're due for more rain later today, tomorrow and Friday. Ick!

  5. Love the chickens and roo theme. I also still decorate with them in my kitchen. We have chickens on our acreage so I consider them timeless decor no matter what “influencers “ say. 😁 RHill, TX
