I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Red and Gold Valentine's Tree in the Living Room 2018

Welcome!!

In this post, I will be sharing my Red and Gold Valentine's Tree in the Living Room.....

I have decorated the Living Room for Valentine's using a red and gold color theme......

After I stripped the Tree from all the Christmas decorations except for the lights, I then re-decorated it for Valentine's........

I do not say Valentine's Day because I do keep these decorations up until the end of February because this month is deemed American Heart Month by the American Heart Association.....

This is what the Tree looks like all decked out for Heart Month.....
I topped the Tree off with a bow made from red velvet ribbon and a few heart picks.....
I used a pearl like garland with hearts embossed on it.....
I then added a heart garland.......
And a few vintage styled hearts, some that I made.....
Next came the red hearts and gold balls with red hearts on them.....
I then added Gold cherubs that to me, look like cupids.....
Next were a few more red hearts and a few gold hearts......
I then added red and gold rose ornaments bought a few years ago at Big Lot's.......
I then wrapped the Tree with red wired heart garland......
Here are a few closeups.......
I left the Tree on the platform where I had had my Christmas village set up ....

I decided to cover it using a vintage red rose tablecloth that I have had for years......
I thought it would be perfect for Valenitne's......
I decorated the bottom of the Tree on the covered platform with more Valentine goodies......
A crystal vase and a vintage bowl and pitcher on each side of the platform, each hold an arrangement of red velvet roses and gold leaves..........
On the left side.....
I realize now that the battery pack of a light set that I have woven through out the display on the platform can be seen in this photo.......
There are several Bearington Bear in Valentine garb......

This guy carries a heart that says "Thief of Hearts".......
This is one of the heart candy boxes that I embellished......
This little guy is wearing a squirrel outfit and is carrying a hear that says "Nuts about You"
2 baby Bears, Cutie and "Love Bug", sit together on the bench....
A dapper gentleman called"Lover Boy" sits across from the Bear in the squirrel costume.......
Another heart shaped candy box that I embellished......
The other floral arrangement on the right side of the platform.....
And one more box that I embellished......
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Red and Gold Valentine's Tree in the Living Room.......

In my next post, I will be sharing 2 more Valentine Trees in the Living Room and a few Valentine's vignettes.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Beautiful tree dripping with gorgeous ribbon. Are those boxes filled with chocolate? Of course I drew right to those after the ribbon.
    All is so pretty.

  2. What fun, Debbie. That is a gorgeous ribbon topper and you have some beautiful ornaments. The angels look like cherubs to me, too. I love the tablecloth that you used on the base. Very pretty all the way around. xo Diana

  5. It's beautiful, Debbie. It just amazes me that you have found and organized space to the extent that you can store all of the ornaments you use throughout the year on your various seasonal trees. Two more Valentine's trees yet to come - wowsers, girl! Wish I had your energy :)

  8. Debbie I LOVE the idea of a Valentine tree. It truly warms this heart during the cold season. Perhaps I can start with a small tabletop tree.
