I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Evening Fall Front Porch, 2017

    Welcome!!!!

Today, I will be sharing how our Front Porch looks all lit up in the evening!!!

In a previous post, I showed you how I decorated the Front Porch for Fall.......
Click HERE if you missed that post.......

In the evening, the front porch takes on a slightly spookier look.......
With the orange lights and the lit Jack O Lanterns, it gives the porch more of a Halloween look rather than a Fall look........
When you walk up to the porch from the steps leading up from our parking lot to our row of townhouses.......
As you enter the front porch.......
You see the topiary that I made with a candle inside a lantern lit up.......
The lantern also has a candle inside of it and the Jack O Lantern has fairy lights inside of it.......
Looking at the front porch from the other side......
When you walk out of our front door and look out onto the front porch and yard.......
The railing is lit up with a set of orange LED lights......
There is also an orange light bulb in the front porch light adding to the orange glow.....
My new Jack O Lantern that I bought in Wegman's this year, is lit up with another set of fairy lights......
And I have added a set of orange LED lights to the lights that were already on the tree in the corner of the porch......
There is a candle in the Living Room window with an orange bulb in it......
It does take on a more spooky look at night, doesn't it???
The flower bed under the Living Room window.......
The solar lights help illuminate the flower bed......
This is the area where my park bench is.......
The lantern that is always there lights up this area......
I hope you enjoyed seeing our Front Porch lit up in the evening.....
Our lights are on a timer and come on and stay on from dusk to dawn......
I will be finally sharing the posts revealing some of the new Halloween decorations that I made for my Dining Room.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

  3. Hi Debbie,
What a fun porch you have this year. The burlap bows are a nice touch and so beautifully tied. I wish you could come deck my porch out for all the kiddos in our neighborhood. I've hurt my foot badly and am struggling with getting up and down stairs so I think I'm going to have to skip all the festivities out there this year. It looks like you've added a few new things to your Halloween tree this year. Is it a Mr. Skelly at the top?

I love the old weathered book on your hutch too. You're making me feel like I need to make something new to add to my very small collection of Halloween decor. Several years ago, I gave away everything that I no longer used. Sometimes I regret that decision. In my mind I thought I'd clear out the things I didn't have an attachment to so that I'd have room for things I loved. I'm still looking for treasures and am thinking it will require me making them.

Thank you so much for sharing with us at Hauntingly Beautiful Decor link party.

  9. I love it! It's very Halloweeny. I grew up in the town next to Salem, MA and now live just two towns away. We take Halloween pretty seriously around here. I have to admit it's not my favorite holiday even though I just adore fall. Your porch looks so pretty. I love the way you lit the jack-o-lanterns with fairy lights.
