Winter Hutch in the Kitchen, Part 2, 2017

Welcome!!!

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the lower half of the Hutch in the Kitchen for Winter, with a touch of Valentine's Day decor.......
In my last post, I shared the top half of the Hutch, decorated with dishes that Joe bought on Clearance in Wegman's after Christmas......
Click HERE if you missed that post.......

We will pick up where we left off...........
I like to decorate the desk part of the Hutch for every Holiday and Season......
I also like to decorate the area underneath the Hutch....
On the side of the Hutch, is my Winter Bird Tree........
Click HERE to see if you missed that post......

I carried over the Winter Cardinal theme to the desk area.......
I started with a place mat that I bought a few years ago at Country Folk Gift Store......
I turned the lamp off so there would not be a glare.......
In the left hand corner.......

A sweet snowman holding up a heart from his baskets of hearts......
The cardinal figure and the snow globe were bought on Clearance in Boscov's after Christmas......
A mini red cardinal tea set........
The white LED Trees were gifted to me by my sister for Christmas.......
The cardinal tea set was bought several years ago in Wegman's after Christmas.....
More clearance items bought after Christmas this year were used in this vignette.......
A cute little penguin, honoring Joe's Hockey teams, The Pittsburgh and Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins.......
The picture hanging in the background is actually from a calendar that I placed in a white frame.......
And now, underneath the Hutch.......
A Winter vignette on top of a vintage picnic basket..........
Snow men and a snow man tea pot on another bird place mat............
An enamel bird tea pot......
Another framed picture from a calendar provides a back drop.....
A cute Valentine plaque hangs from a drawer knob......
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this area in our Kitchen for Winter.......

In my next post, I will be showing you how I decorated the rest of the Kitchen for Winter , with a bit of Valentine's decor......
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Love, love, love Cardinals. They are my dad's favorite bird. Both my parents and I feed the birds in the winter - we always have lots of Cardinals in our yard (I think our record was 12 males plus several females), while my parents are excited to have two males and two females.

The little plaid picnic tin and the pair of hens salt and pepper caught my eye, too. Love all the 'red'! I am loving that color lately :) Hope you are having a wonderful week. Hugs xx Karen
