Winter Vignettes in the Den, 2017

Welcome!!!

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the rest of our Den for Winter..........

But first, I want to Thank these hosts who featured my post, Winter Front Porch and Yard, 2017!!!

Thanks so much to Maria Elena, over at Our Home Away from Home, for featuring it from last week's Tuesdays at Home Party!!
Thanks again, Maria!!

And Thanks to Beverly, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing it as one of her features from last week's Turn It Up Tuesday!!
Thanks, Beverly! I really appreciated your kind words!!

Please stop by and visit these wonderful parties!!

In my last few posts, I have been showing you how I used some of my Christmas decorations and changed them into Winter decorations by adding some Winter like items........

I decorate our Den for Winter after Christmas and it stays decorated like this until the end of February when I decorate it for St. Patrick's Day........

I bought some things after Christmas that I thought would be perfect for Winter ......
I used all of these items decorating the Den for Winter!!

Today, I will be sharing some before and afters........

This is how this area, directly to the left when you walk into the Den from the Kitchen, looked for Christmas.....
And this is how it looks now , decorated for Winter.......
For Christmas......
Now for Winter......
I kept out the bottle brush trees.......

I added an owl, a nest and a snow man........
Placed bottle brush trees in my Thomas Kinkade mug sets......
In the side of the TV, I moved one of the LED battery operated Trees that I had used on top of the TV entertainment center in the Living Room for Christmas, here on the side of the TV in the Den.......
And added a snow flake to it.....

I kept the Thomas Kinkade house and church out , on each side of the TV but switched back to a lace runner underneath the TV.......
The end table next to the TV...........
It looked like this for Christmas.......
And now for Winter.......
I left the greenery in the burgundy tin pocket planter and added white snow flakes to it......
Added a bottle brush tree and another LED battery operated tree taken from the Living Room.......
I packed away the Santa's.......
I kept out the snow man and reindeer in the cloche.......
And also added 2 white glitter birds.......
I placed the LED lighted tree in a vintage candy jar.......
Added a snow flake to it and a snow man on the side of it......
And now it is a Winter vignette.......

The area above the chair is pretty much changed over to how it looks normally during the year......
With the exception of 2 deer head ornaments hanging from the sconces...........
And I kept out the snow man pillows......
This is how the back door looked for Christmas......
And now for Winter......
I hung the snow flake garland that I bought on Clearance after Christmas in Kmart......
And added a snow flake to a snow man plaque bought at Dollar Tree.......
If you look through the window, you can see that it is still very much Winter here!!
In a previous post, I show you how I changed the Tree in the Den over from a Christmas Tree.....
To a Winter Tree........
Click HERE if you missed that post......

You can see that I hung large snow flake ornaments on the windows........
I bought these at Penney's a few years ago......
Next to the Tree on the ottoman........
This is how it looked at Christmas.......
And for Winter.......
I kept out my Winter doll........
Added 2 snow men........
The top of the computer armoire looked like this for Christmas.......
And now for Winter.......
I mixed some of my regular year round decor with some Winter items........
And left out a few things from Christmas........
I made the paper music sheet trees a few years ago.......
I also made the music sheet snow flake........
Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, looked like this for Christmas........
It now looks like this.......
You can see that I packed away anything having to do with Christmas.......
I left out and moved around anything that looked Wintery....
The China Cupboard looked like this for Christmas.......
And looks like this, decorated for Winter........
On top of the china cupboard at Christmas.......
And now.......
If you missed that post, please click HERE

After I took the picture of the china cupboard, I found this slate that I got from a neighbor.......
I think I just may qualify as one, don't you??????
Over on the side of the china cupboard..........
I added a few ornaments to this Tree.......
And that completes my Tour of our Den decorated for Winter........

In my next post, I will be sharing my 2nd Winter Tree.........
My Winter Bird Tree in the Kitchen........
And more items that I bought after Christmas and have used in Winter decorating!!
And just to show you that it is still very much Winter here in NEPA, this is what we woke up to this morning!!!

We had freezing rain that started last night.......
Can you see the ice shining on our shed?????
   Then it turned to sleet.........
And then to snow towards morning.......

And to think that we had a record high temp. of 56 degrees only last week!!!!

I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Debbie

  5. I just don't know how you do it with working and then all the decorating you do also, it tires me out just thinking about it. Such a lovely job and that owl is just too cute the way it looks like he is really looking around. Like the snow covered trees too and that snowman under the globe is just the cutest, I love the old vintage looking ones. Lovely job with giving winter touches to the big tree too!
