I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

A Winter Tree in the Den, 2017

 Welcome!!

Today, I will be sharing how I changed the Tree that I had in our Den from a Christmas Tree.........
Into a Winter Tree........
First, I stripped the Tree down to the lights........
I created the topper using white and gold tipped faux branches.........
Added a bow and a few streamers out of white deco mesh........
Tucked a few more white branches into the Tree......
Added a set of icicle looking lights........
A cute snow man ornament up at the top of the Tree......
Along with a few white fluffy star snow flake ornaments.......
Some snowmen and birdhouses........

Added a clear icicle like garland.......
A few ornaments that have a pine cone look to them.......
Added a whole bunch of gold glittered pine cones......
And a few ornaments with pine cones on them.......
A few birds and bird nests.......

And some Winter church and house ornaments......
But before I show you how it all came out........
I want to share some new Winter decorations that I bought after Christmas on Clearance.......
Winter houses and bird nests from Sears........
Birds and owls, also from Sears.............
Some cute burlap bag ornaments from Big Lot's.......
And snow flake garland from Kmart........
Now I did not use all of these items on the Tree.......
And I will show where I displayed them in the Den in another post......

Let's get back to My Winter Tree in the Den........
This is the same Tree that I cut about 2inches off the bottom branches all around the Tree to make it a slimmer tree........
I will let the pictures do most of the talking...........
 White snow ball looking ornaments.......
I also used a lot of clear snow flakes that were bought at Dollar Tree on this Tree.......
And wired white snow flake garland was wrapped around the Tree......
The Winter Village around the Tree........
These Winter Putz house ornaments were bought over several years on Clearance at Sears.......
A Lenox snowman sits in the center.....
And there you have it.....

My Winter Tree in the Den.........

I will be sharing my Winter Bird Tree in the Kitchen with you soon........
And I have more Winter decorations in the Den to show you too!!
So I hope you will come by and visit  again!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Love your tree. I guess this is the only white I will see because the days are just to darn warm for snow.
