I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

More New Treasures!!

Today,  I wanted to share some more of my "New to Me" finds!

But first I need to Thank a few hosts for featuring 2 of my posts from last week's parties.......

I would like to Thank Karren , over at Oh! My Heartsie Girl, for featuring my post, What Every Woman Needs to Know About Social Security  from last week's Friday Feature Linky Party!
Thanks so much, Karren!!

And I also want to Thank Becca, over at Vintage Chic, for featuring the same post, What Every Woman Needs to Know About Social Security  from last week's Fridays Five Features!
Thanks so much , Becca!

And I want to Thank Michael, over at Rattlebridge Farm, for featuring my post, Front Yard Garden Notes for Next Year, from last week's Foodie Friday and Everything Else party!
Thanks so much, Michael!!!

Please stop by to visit and  link up to these great parties!

These are my "New" Treasures.....
Don't you just love this vintage piece......
I will be using this piece in my Craft Room for storage.......
2 stained glass candle holders.....
2 Light shades.......
This will be cute to use as a votive for a candle......
I wish I had 2 of these because I would have used them on my wall sconces in the Den.....
And look at all of these.......
Vintage glass Furniture Caster Cups!!
I guess I could also turn this into a votive for a candle too!!
A battery operated tea light fits perfect inside of it!
Here are 3 small canning jar lids.... 2 are Mason and 1 is Ball.....
I think this is probably an ash tray but I think it is pretty......
Love this vintage flatware......
A green depression glass bowl and a red vase.......
A mug tree that I plan to spray paint and use as an ornament holder....
2 vintage towels......
Vintage Doilies.....
His and Hers tea towels....
A pretty pink one.....
An embroidered scarf.....
And 2 sets of pillow cases......
I then went to Michael's the other day and bought these ..........
These were 80% off.....
The small bird was 79 cents and the 2 larger ones were 99 cents!!

These were in the $1.00 bins.......
This was the faucet that we bought 3 years ago when we remodeled most of your downstairs.....
 Nice enough.......loved the vintage look......
It supposedly had a "Lifetime Warranty"......
We were going to be calling a plumber to fix it for the 3rd time!!!!!!!!!!!

So we decided to ditch it and get new one.....
The old one was on the inexpensive side so we paid a bit more for this one.......
I originally wanted a faucet in this finish because of this........

My Kitchen light fixture with the same finish......
But since we seemed to be hemorrhaging money during that remodel, we went cheaper and now we learned a valuable lesson.......
You only get what you pay for!!

I like the way this one looks with the counter tops......
And hopefully, it will not cost us the amount of money that the other one cost us in plumber's fees.....

Both were purchased at Lowes.....

I will be starting my Fall decorating this week and I will have a lot to share......

So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  11. What a wonderful trove of goodies you've found!! I'm a softie for salt-dips, and of course, any linens catch my eye---yours are simply exquisite. I KNOW I have a set of that variegated purple crochet edging stored away, done by my Mammaw J in the fifties, and cut and saved from probably five sets of far-ago pillowslips in the meantime.

    Happy September weekend!

  12. I love shopping at our small town's two thrift stores. You never know what you will find. I've been looking for a camera tripod for a year and just found one for $8. I was in a telescope shop yesterday and the cheapest one like mine was $100. Now that was a treasure of a find for me even if it wasn't vintage. - Margy
