I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Evening to Night on the Front Porch, 2016

I want to Thank these Hostesses for featuring my post, Craft Room, 2016, Where Bloggers Create, from last week's parties!!

Thanks to Mimi, over at A Tray of Bliss, who featured my post in her post, Insourcing # 32 Make Your Day Cozy, Comfortable and Creative!

Mimi has recently stopped hosting a weekly party and now hosts Five Star Frou Frou, A Neverending Story!  which is a Linky Party that you can link up to any time and is permanently open, hence A Neverending Story!!

Thanks so much , Mimi!!

And Thanks to Jody and Stan, over at Rooted in Thyme , for featuring it from last week's  Simple and Sweet Friday Party!!
Thanks so much, Jody and Stan!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!

Joe and I were lucky enough to catch an amazing Sunset while sitting on our front porch!
We are able to see the sunset from the porch all Summer long but this one I thought was pretty spectacular!!
The lights you see at the bottom of each photo are from the shopping center that we live next too!!
I love how the trees look as the sun sets over the mountains......
I love the silhouettes of the trees....
And as the Sun sets, the solar lights come on in the front of our house, in the yard and on the porch!!
Solar lights in pots of flowers.....
This was one of the things that Joe bought on Clearance in Wegman's. I moved it from the back yard to the front porch......
A Solar Light in this Cherub that sits on top of the milk can.....
Looking at the porch from the sidewalk......
I now have a set of Fairy Lights in this lantern......
The lights on the tree in the corner come on by Timer......
You can see my Patriotic Tree in the Living Room lit through the window.....
More fairy lights in a stained glass lantern and a solar fairy sits on the table in the corner......
Crackled glass solar lights are in the pots in front of the railing......
 In the front flower bed.......
More crackled glass solar lights......
There is a solar light in the bird bath that we bought at Big Lots!!
In the urns that sit on the wall between my next door neighbor's and our property......
Along the front of the front flower bed.....
A Welcome rock.....
I love the pattern cast by the solar light on the sidewalk....
A few colored mosaic lights and a toad stool......
My park bench......
A solar spotlight shines on my chippy white angel......
Another Welcome rock......
We love sitting out on the porch in the evening but unfortunately, most of this Summer has been too hot to do much of that!!

I am so looking forward to the Fall , which is my favorite time of year, because maybe I will actually not be stuck in the house with the air conditioning blasting!!

I hope to share my Reveal of my new "Sitting Room" next  so I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  4. Hi Deb: There are few things more beautiful than a sunset and it must be so calming to sit on your porch at night and have all the pretty twinkling going on around you. We sit on our new screened porch every evening and it is so peaceful. We don't see any sunsets and we don't get enough sun in the day to have solar lights, but I do have a few battery operated candles in lanterns here and there and I love it..Happy Week to you..Judy

  13. It's too hot for us to sit outside right now but I'm really looking forward to the fall for that very reason. I especially like the solar light in the bird bath. I'm going to look for one of those.
