Celebrating the 4th of July with a Tablescape!!!

ATTENTION: MY MAIN BLOG, DEBBIE-DABBLE, WAS HAVING MAJOR ISSUES AND I HAD LOST ACCESS TO CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE LAYOUT OF THE BLOG USING THE TEMPLATE DESIGNER, SO I  DECIDED TO START A NEW BLOG BECAUSE I FEEL THE ISSUE WITH MY FORMER BLOG MAY NEVER HAVE BEEN RESOLVED.

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

If you followed me on my other Blog, I would so appreciate it if you will follow me on this blog too!!!!

Links are on my Side Bar!!
Now it is not often, I get to do a tablescape.......
The reason is because we eat in our Dining Room every day.......
And where would Joe spread out the newspaper all over the table to read it in the morning??????
LOL!!

It started when Joe bought this vinyl tablecloth at Big Lot's for $4.00!!
I decided that I would do  Patriotic Tablescape to celebrate the 4th of July!!

I wanted to use some of my red and blue transferware dishes......
I used a Patriotic place mat in the center of the table.....
A Tea Set for the center piece......
A blue transferware tea pot and red transferware sugar bowl and creamer........
The Cobalt Blue goblet with a red ornament and flag in it is from Avon......
George Washington is on this one......
   A Patriotic Card.......
  George Washington!!
Betsy Ross is also from Avon...........
Blue and red star votives.......
Another goblet on this side of the table......
 Martha Washington on this goblet....
    Another Patriotic Card........
   Thomas Jefferson.....
The Place Settings......
I started with this dinner plate......
Then this dessert plate......
The flatware was bought on clearance several years ago at Wegman's......
Tea Cup and Saucer.....
Vintage glassware
Candy from Dollar Tree on plates and scattered about the table.......
Joe bought the Flag in the center of the table at Boscov's for $1.99....

When turned on, it "waves in the wind.........
And plays 2 Patriotic Songs, "My Country Tis of Thee" and "The Star Spangled Banner"!!!

Joe is all ready to celebrate the Holiday!!!
Then I started to laugh while taking the pictures!!!!
And he got silly, more than we already were, and started to wave the flags.......
Okay, enough of that!! It was definitely time to quit!!

LOL!!

  7. Looks like you guys have fun! That's what keeps it fresh, right? I am so sorry your blog got hacked -- I didn't know. It is really a roll of the dice when we post on the Internet isn't it? You just never know what screaming blue meanies will do. You really display your patriotism proudly! I finally remembered to put out the flags this morning. We had the typical fare: hamburgers cooked on the grill and a blackberry cobbler.

  11. What a fun tablescape, Debbie! You know I am loving your red and blue transferware! Joe sounds like my guy. He has the newspaper spread all over the table too and when it's not the newspaper, it's his books. LOL But I'll keep him. He makes me laugh a lot and laughter is good for the soul. Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  19. I was in vacation when you sent the notice about the new blog and couldn't reply immediately. I was so shocked and sad that this had happened to you, such a cruel and senseless thing to do. I'm so proud of you for rallying around and relaunching. A big hug, Debbie.

  20. Wow now that is a table setting, spectacular centerpiece, those candy shapes are a cute touch and love the figurines too! Glad you had some time with family. We watched some movies, never seem to have time anymore and then went and watched the fireworks!

  21. What wonderful collection of transferware! Thanks for sharing your tablescape. I think pulling out the red white and blue for the 4th and other unique American holidays really helps us to show our love for our county and reflect on our history.

  27. Hello Debbie, You have cornered the market when it comes to celebrating any holiday. This post is absolutely perfect, including your husband who is a good sport for sure. I love all of your vintage dishes, Avon collection and the not vintage tablecloth that was your inspiration. The outside of your home is a study of Patriotism. Awesome in every way.
