Cottage Garden, Part 2, 2016

Today, I am sharing Part 2 of our Cottage Garden....
In my previous post, I shared Part 1 of our Cottage Garden........
Click HERE if you missed that post.......
Today, I am sharing the back of the yard and the area between the walk way to the back gate and the walk way to the shed.....

I'll start with the back gate area.......
We don't use our back gate because there is a huge hill and the row of townhouses behind us......

You would be taking your life into your own hands to try to get out the back gate and go anywhere.......
In past years, I had a wicker chair here, a bike planter and a wrought iron chair......
This year, I decided to keep it simple........
I hung the hose wreath that I made last year on the gate.....
I still have to go and buy some impatiens to fill this bag........
I moved the mail box that was originally in the front yard out to the back........
I bought the mail box at the Estate Sale of a florist and glued it to a plant stand.......
Next to it on the step is a post with a wood Welcome sign hanging on it......
I still have to paint the post white........
I have a few pots and flower boxes planted with various annuals on the brick pathway that I laid many years ago......YES, I LAID THE BRICK WALKWAY MYSELF!!!!!
If Joe wants to get out through the gate to trim the 1 foot of land we own past the fence, he will not have to move too many things!!

Hanging on a shepherd hook to the right of the gate is a "Solar Lantern" that I made by attaching 2 hanging baskets together and put a solar light inside of it.....
 Beneath it.........
A mini Flag and a Sun Dial........
 A terra cotta Angel........
A Welcome Rock among some hostas........
And now to the area between the 2 walkways.......
Looking back toward the Patio.......
At the edge of the walkway.......
An Angel......
A hanging Fairy.....
I took these photos on 2 different days, one sunny and one cloudy because it is hard to take photos in the yard with half of it in the sun and the other shaded.......
A blue Gazing Ball.....
A new guinea impatien is planted in the pot on beneath the Gazing Ball.....
Begonias were just planted in the vintage Watering Can.......
Perennials are starting to bloom......
One of my Garden Gnomes.......
An Angel Rain Gauge....
Moving over to the other side......
A Toad Stool
Some Bunnies and a Frog.......
Can you tell I have a thing with Garden Angels????
Joe bought them a few years ago in Wegman's for 75% off.......
This Angel sits in front of the Lamp Post.........
The Lamp Post , which was bought at Big Lot's about 10 years ago, is on a timer and has a yellow light bulb in it which is good for keeping the bugs away in the Summer!!
Back by the tree by the shed........
An "Ice Cream Parlor" chair that I turned into a planter.......
A "Born to Garden, Forced to Work" sign hangs on the tree.......
Begonias are planted in the pot in the chair.......
You can see the little Boy statue behind the chair......
It was bought at a church Flea Market!!!
Sedum is growing in front of the chair and will bloom in the Fall......
And that takes us to the end of this post!!
Our back yard may be tiny but I think it is packed with a lot of personality!!
In my next post, I will share Part 3 of our Cottage Garden..........
The area on this side of the yard and why I call our back yard our "Secret Garden"!!!
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
