I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am LOVING Retirement!!!!

Patriotic Summer Decor, Part 1, 2016

Today , I would like to share my Patriotic Summer Tree!!

But first, I want to Thank Sandi, over at Rose Chintz Cottage , for featuring my post,  Red Transfer Ware Finds, from last week's No Place Like Home Party!!
Thanks so much , Sandi!!
This Tree will stay decorated like this in the Living Room for most of the Summer......
Of course, it is decorated in Red, White and Blue......
I used a centerpiece topper for the top of the Tree.....
It reminds me of a fire cracker......
There is also a bow made out of 2 different Patriotic ribbons at the top of the Tree.......
And 4 small flags tucked into the Tree.....
A heart plaque is displayed right under the bow.....
Red, blue and silver garland wraps around the Tree.....
I used red, blue and silver ornaments bought at the after Christmas sales to decorate the Tree.....
There are other ornaments like red and blue and silver stars.....
Some Patriotic stars that represent each branch of the Military.....
Patriotic Teddy Bears.....
And a few ornaments that I made ........
Click HERE to see that post from last year........
Wired star garland encircles the Tree....
This Tree will add a nice glow in the evening in the Summer months.....

I also decorated underneath and around the Tree......
Underneath the Tree....
A red wagon full of Teddy Bears in Patriotic garb!!
Uncle Sam and a Patriotic Nutcracker.....
A centerpiece in a Dollar Tree pot that I made last year.....
Star votives.....
On the chair next to the Tree........
Sits a fancy Lady Bear and a Marine Bear in honor of Joe's Dad who was a Marine in the Korean War.....
An Uncle Sam Nut Cracker is nestled between them..........
A Red, White and Blue plaid place mat rests on the chair.......

As I said before, this Tree will stay decorated like this until after July 4th, at least!!

In my next post, I will share the rest of my Patriotic decorations........
So  I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie
