I am a Victorian Soul, live in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion, with my Hubby Joe, who is a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am LOVING Retirement!!!!

Living Room Valentine's Decorations, Part 2, 2016

Today, I am going to share the rest of my Valentine 's Decorations in our Living Room.......

First, I want to Thank Sandi, over at Rose Chintz Cottage, for featuring my post, Winter Wonderland Tree in the Den, from last week's No Place Like Home Party!!

I leave up my Valentine's Day and Winter Decorations until the end of February because February is Heart Month as deemed by the American Heart Association!!

I added just a few more touches to the Living Room for Valentine's Day........

The top of the Hutch......

I did not pack away the lighted gold branch trees and gold snowflakes after Christmas.......

Here is a photo without the trees lit......

Some simple accents........

Like a heart bought at Michaels on Clearance one year, a cure figurine who pattern on it's clothes remind me of lips (LOL) and a red mercury glass votive......

I used to have a garland with red velvet roses on the stair rail other years but because of my knee, I really need to hang on to that stair rail so I cut the garland into pieces and put a piece on the top of the hutch.

I did add some gold organza roses to the red velvet ones that it already had on it......

And a cute "LOVE" sign......

The other side has a cute snow lady.......

And a heart vase with roses in it.......

On the shelves on each side of the Hutch, I simply replaced the florals with red velvet roses.....

Those are gold glittered flameless candles set on a timer.......

In the corner.....

A grapevine heart with a bow made out of red velvet ribbon embossed with roses on it......

It is the same ribbon as the bow on the top of my Living Room Valentine Tree......

The rest of the red velvet garland was placed on top of the Curio........

Again, I added some gold organza roses to it and a few gold branches......

Next to the Curio......

I made bows out of thick red velvet fabric ribbon for the tops of the lanterns that I keep on the stairs.....

I put some red and gold small round ornaments inside the lanterns around the candles.....

A bouquet I made out of red velvet roses and gold leaves.......

And placed it in my vintage bowl and pitcher......

I have tried to keep a red and gold color theme for my Living Room Valentine's decorations....

I like to use this chair to display things and not to sit on!!

A few heart boxes, gold organza roses and a gold glittered flamesless candle......

These were candy boxes that I bought several years ago on Clearance at Target for 75% off and I embellished them........

I used trims..........

And vintage style Valentine tags that I bought on Ebay.....

The small heart was also bought at Target.......

I also added some Valentine touches to my Victorian style vignettes in the Living Room......

I also wanted to show you my Winter Village lace topper.......

I placed a vintage style post card in this frame.....

And that completes my little Tour of the Living Room decorated for Valentine's Day!!

After I have shared all my other Valentine Decorations, I will be doing an Evening Tour of our home, all decked out for Valentine's Day!!

Up next will be the Dining Room all decked out in Pink for Valentine's Day.....

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.
